Bimbo Bakeries USA Completes Energy Star Challenge

ABA congratulates Bimbo Bakeries USA on having the first commercial bakery to achieve the ENERGY STAR® challenge by reducing a manufacturing site’s energy intensity by 10 percent in less than five years.  ABA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. EPA to promote increased energy efficiency for the baking industry through the agency’s ENERGY STAR® program. ABA’s goal was to collaborate with its members and provide them with valuable energy management tools to help promote increased energy efficiency for the U.S. baking industry.
