OTTAWA – The food recall warning issued on February 8, 2019 has been amended to correctly identify the affected products. The corrections for these products are marked by an asterisk (*).
Les Services Alimentaires Firouz Inc. is recalling Betty brand and Nancy’s Fancy Yummy-in-the-Tummy brand bakery products from the marketplace due to possible contamination from mice infestation. These products may contain harmful bacteria. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described below.
The following products have been sold in Ontario and Quebec. The affected products were made at Les Services Alimentaires Firouz Inc., 59 Donegani Ave, Pointe-Claire, Quebec.

What you should do
If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.
Check to see if you have recalled products in your home. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

Background
This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) inspection activities. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.
The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.
