B2B Online Classifieds Designed To Improve Baking Industry's Spare Parts Dilemma

CHICAGO — With the support of Baking Equipment Manufacturers Allied (BEMA), Baking Industry Forum (BIF), and other key baking players, Baker's Exchange will launch its newest baking industry service platform Marketplace to over 26,000 baking industry professionals at All Things Baking 2011 on October 2nd in Chicago, IL.

Marketplace is designed to connect bakers and suppliers so they can buy and sell surplus spare parts, equipment, ingredients, services and more. Getting the parts to older or discontinued machines could often mean the difference between using or losing thousands of dollars in equipment.

Presidents, owners, buyers, and maintenance managers at bakeries will get a sneak peek at the website at the Baker's Exchange booth in October.

Melissa Posh, Director of Sales and Marketing for Baker's Exchange, says, "Our attendance at BEMA's 2011 BIF breakfast resulted in a tremendous opportunity to provide further service to the baking industry beyond our print trade publication. But we're not just catering to the spare parts folks, what we're really doing is creating a baking industry-exclusive trade platform. We're taking our print publication a number of steps forward with this new online product. Our users can create their own profiles and buy and sell everything from spare parts to ingredients to computer services."

A single 30-day ad listing on Marketplace costs $10. Wanted ads are free to post. Memberships are available for three, six or 12 months and range in price from $45 to $125. All membership packages include unlimited ad listings.

Marketplacecategories include spare parts, equipment, ingredients, packaging, cake decorating and classifieds.
