ABA again this year participated in Operation Blessing’s Redskins Harvest Feast, an event that is designed to give back to local families in the D.C. Washington area during the holiday season. ABA staff joined the Washington Redskins in a massive volunteer effort that bagged 3,500 baskets of Thanksgiving dinners for families in need this holiday season. Each family received a bag of produce, dry goods and a turkey to enjoy with their families.
ABA handed out bags of Arnold stuffing donated by Bimbo Bakeries USA. Campbell’s Soup also participated in the event, donating thousands of cans of turkey gravy and Campbell’s Soup. ”It’s an honor and now a tradition to be a part of this fantastic effort to help families in need for the holidays,” said ABA President & CEO Robb MacKie. ”It feels good to be a part of an event that gives back to the community each year. The holidays are a time for families to gather around the table and enjoy a special meal and time together – I’m happy that ABA can be a part of this event that makes it possible for families in our area that need our help.”
