ABA Convention Program Reaffirms Industry's Priorities, Forecasts Industry's Future

The 2012 American Bakers Association (ABA) Convention drew more than 250 industry professionals to Scottsdale, Ariz. for a packed multi-day program. The sessions covered a diverse range of topics, from the technical issue of biotech wheat to the inspirational narrative from Navy SEAL/humanitarian Eric Greitens on the making of leaders and the importance of perseverance and service.

The program also featured policy discussions in the form of a baking industry issue-focused panel comprised of bakers who participate in ABA’s policy committees. Gov. Mike Huckabee finished off Monday’s program with an impassioned speech at the American Bakers PAC dinner about the greatness of America, and why we all have a responsbility to shape its course through the political system.

Full meeting highlights will be published in ABA’s post-convention issue of Bulletin.
