ABA Announces New Co-Chairs For Executive Leadership Development Committee

Effective March 2014, Jesse Amoroso, Amoroso Baking Co., and Morgan Murphy, Mother Murphy’s Laboratories, will serve as ABA’s Executive Leadership Development Committee (ELDC) Co-Chairs.

“Jesse and Morgan bring a tremendous amount of energy and innovation to ELDC,” said ABA Chairman Robin Alton, Pan-O-Gold Baking Co. “With such an outstanding leadership team in place, I am confident that ELDC will continue to achieve its valuable mission to partner executive management development with promoting ABA’s aggressive policy agenda on Capitol Hill.”

Amoroso and Murphy will replace outgoing ELDC Co-Chairs Connie Vaughan, McKee Foods Corp., and Pete Frederick, Milner Milling Inc.

“Connie and Pete have set a very high bar with their leadership of ELDC,” said ELDC Staff Liaison Kelly Knowles, ABA. “It has been an honor to work so closely with them since 2010, and over the course of their tenure, ELDC has made great strides in program content, member participation and political involvement.”

“ELDC is a tremendously important part of developing the future leaders of the baking industry,” said Mr. Alton. “ELDC provides the venue for the next generation of industry leaders to grow skills, network with industry peers and learn about the policy process.”

The ELDC Planning Meeting will be held Sunday, March 16, in conjunction with the ABA Convention at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Ariz. All ABA members are encouraged to attend. The ELDC Public Policy Forum will be held September 17-19, in Washington, D.C.

The Executive Leadership Development Committee (ELDC) is dedicated to developing the future leadership of the baking industry and the American Bakers Association by bringing together executives in a forum which informs participants on industry trends; encourages active participation in the public policy discussions, the political process and their impact on the wholesale baking industry; educates participants on the role of the American Bakers Association and its activities and develops personal leadership and management skills.
