Pittsburgh's sixth-fastest growing company last year is closing in on a location for expansion.
"We had a real good year and hit all our goals," said Scott Baker, a co-owner of McKees Rocks-based 5 Generations Bakers, and he's also projecting a strong 2015. "We're anticipating new customers coming on board to help us hit our goal with a 50 percent increase."
5 Generations Bakers, a maker of cinnamon-swirl bread that was launched by the family that operated the longtime Jenny Lee Bakery, expects to make a decision in the next month on a new 40,000-square-foot baking facility. As it comes up on its fifth anniversary next month, 5 Generations is beginning to max out its current 18,000-square-foot operation on Island Avenue in McKees Rocks, said Baker.
