American Bakers Association: Got Data?

ABA is working with the ENERGY STAR® Program to develop the ENERGY STAR Energy Performance Indicator (EPI) for commercial bakeries. The EPI is a 1-energy-star-iigbenchmarking tool allowing companies to compare their bakery’s energy efficiency to the rest of the U.S. baking industry.  EPI’s have been developed for multiple types of industrial plants and are a unique energy management tool. 

To better depict the current status of the baking industry, ABA is asking for your assistance in collecting annual production and energy consumption values data. To date Duke University has collected data for 158 plants.  We need about another 100 plants for the data set.
