JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Acosta Sales & Marketing, a leading full-service sales and marketing agency in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, today announced that Greg Delaney has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and has been elected to Acosta’s Board of Directors.

Delaney joined Acosta in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the company’s finance activities and financial policies and procedures. During the course of his career at Acosta, Delaney has led the company’s entry and expansion into new channels and services, playing an integral role in the growth of the company and maintaining a strong financial infrastructure.

“Over the past 11 years, Greg has been instrumental in solidifying the company’s financial future and sustaining the direction of the business. As COO, Greg will now provide broader leadership to our core growth initiatives and assist in moving Acosta to a new, more dynamic phase in its development,” said Robert Hill, Acosta’s President & Chief Executive Officer.

Delaney has held several senior management positions throughout the course of his career in a variety of industries, including with Price Waterhouse, Barnett Banks and Beringer Wine Estates. Prior to joining Acosta, Delaney was the Chief Financial Officer of Encore Development, a software development firm. He graduated from Illinois State University and is a certified public accountant.

With Delaney’s new role, Matt Laurie will move into the role of interim Chief Financial Officer to continue to maintain a highly effective finance operation and help execute the company’s growth strategy. Laurie will report directly to Hill. Laurie joined Acosta in 2002 and most recently served as Chief Accounting Officer and Controller.
