Village Farms Celebrates 25 Years With Guest Chef Darren Brown From Fairmont Pacific Rim At PMA

Village Farms is pleased to have Chef Darren Brown from Fairmont Pacific Rim as guest chef at PMA in New Orleans October 18 – 20.  2014 marks the year the company celebrates 25 years in business as one of the founding greenhouse growers, marketers, and distributors of great tasting fruits and vegetables in North America.  Village Farms will kick off the celebration of this milestone through its tagline, ‘25 Years – Setting the Standard in Flavor, Quality, and Sustainability’, with lots in store for visitors to their Fresh Summit tradeshow booth.  Chef Brown has created a number of exclusive recipes just for Village Farms to help commemorate the 25th anniversary. Recipes will be featured on select packages of tomatoes including their Delectable TOV®, Juicy Beefsteak®, and Savory Roma® varieties using a QR code linking to a micro site where the recipes can be found.  According to Helen L. Aquino, Marketing Manager for Village Farms, ‘the mobile ready website will be updated with more recipes for consumers to access throughout the year and make meal planning very easy’.  According to Chef the main focus of these recipes is simple fresh ingredients that are easy to prepare and healthy.
