Houston-based Grocers Supply Co. Inc., a wholesale grocery distributer to chains such as Fiesta Mart Inc. — which it also owns — plans to build a $50 million regional distribution hub in South Dallas.

That facility could employ up to 350 employees by the end of 2015.

The grocery supplier has been in talks with city of Dallas staff in negotiating economic incentives for developing a 740,000-square-foot refrigerated and dry warehouse facility on 129 acres near Cleveland Road and Blanco Road in South Dallas. The facility could be expandable to 1.2 million square feet.

The $3 billion company could begin construction as early as September, with completion scheduled for Nov. 1, 2014.
