Giumarra Wenatchee Announces New Sales Hire

LOS ANGELES – Giumarra Wenatchee is pleased to announce a new addition to its sales team, Gene Loudon.

Mr. Loudon has worked in the produce industry for more than 25 years, with experience in all aspects of the Northwest tree fruit industry, including conventional, organic, and sliced product.

For more than 12 years, he worked for Dovex Marketing as both Organic Sales Manager and the Director of Marketing. Most recently, Mr. Loudon worked for leading U.S. apple slicer Crunch Pak as Director of New Business Development.

“We are very excited to be adding Gene’s extensive industry knowledge and skills to our team. He is a welcome addition to our continuously growing division,” says Jason Bushong, sales manager of Giumarra Wenatchee.

In his new position, Mr. Loudon will manage accounts in Giumarra’s North American customer base, specifically working to implement programs in the apple and kiwifruit categories. He will be based in Giumarra’s Wenatchee, Wash. office.

Giumarra Wenatchee markets apples, pears, and citrus grown in the Southern Hemisphere and U.S., as well as kiwifruit from New Zealand, Chile, Italy, and California. The division recently expanded its pear operations in the Pacific Northwest to include D’Anjou, Bosc, Comice, and Taylor’s Gold varieties.

“Our recent domestic growth has helped fortify our position as a 12-month supplier of high quality apples and pears,” says Bushong.
