Rich’s Consumer Brands Charitable Fund Made Four Donations To Local Youth Organizations

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – On Wednesday, August 22nd, a charitable fund established by Rich Products Corporation’s Consumer Brands Division made significant donations to support the efforts of four organizations: Golden Isles Penguin Project, Golden Isles Youth Orchestra, Golden Isles Career Academy and Coastal Outreach Soccer.

Rich’s Consumer Brands Charitable Fund is administered through the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, and funds are raised each year to support the important work of charitable organizations based in Glynn County.  This year’s recipients:   

  • Golden Isles Penguin Project – receiving $10,000 for production costs.
  • Golden Isles Youth Orchestra – receiving $10,000 for classroom instruction and instructors.   
  • Golden Isles Career Academy – receiving $20,000 for the expansion of the Food Science Culinary Lab kitchen.
  • Coastal Outreach Soccer – receiving $30,000 for new uniforms, field irrigation system, travel costs, and supplies for the academic center.

Each of these fine recipients aligns with that goal.” explained Jim Motos, who serves as Vice President, Rich’s Consumer Brand Division.

Check presentations totaling $70,000 from Rich’s Consumer Brands Charitable Fund, benefitting Golden Isles Penguin Project, Golden Isles Youth Orchestra, Golden Isles Career Academy and Coastal Outreach Soccer.

About Golden Isles Penguin Project

The Golden Isles Penguin Project is a musical theater production that casts children and young adults with disabilities in all roles. All will sing, dance and act in the show. Those individuals (Artists) will get assistance from on-stage peers (Mentors).

About Golden Isles Youth Orchestra

The Golden Isles Youth Orchestra’s mission is to help young people to set goals, surpass them, and achieve excellence through the practice of classical music.  GIYO has become a regional youth orchestra, drawing students from Glynn, Camden, McIntosh, Ware, and Bacon counties.

About Golden Isles Career Academy 

The Golden Isles Career Academy  seeks to provide enriching opportunities for students involved in the community and pursuing postsecondary education. 

About Coastal Outreach Soccer

The Coastal Outreach Soccer Program is a coordinated effort involving the Glynn County School System, Brunswick Recreation Department and local certified coaches. COS was founded in 2004 with 15 players from the Head Start program. COS started as an in-house recreational level soccer program with 1st generation soccer players and coaches.
