Hurst Berry Headquarters Moving To McMinnville, OR
March 13, 2012 | 1 min to read
What started with the purchase of a 16-acre plot off Sheridan's Loganberry Lane in 1980 has evolved into a pair of companies engaged in growing and packing, importing and exporting, marketing and selling berries by the ton.
Hurst's Berry Farm is the production arm, and it remains rooted in Sheridan. Over the years, however, it has expanded to more than 100 acres there and thousands of acres elsewhere, predominantly in Oregon, Washington, California and Mexico.
HBF International, which bills itself as "Home of the Hurst's Berry Farm Brand," has been spun off as the sales and marketing arm. And its steady growth over the years has persuaded owners Mark and Patty Hurst to move it to new quarters in McMinnville.
Sales Manager Jaysen Weidner said the company has signed a lease on 6,000 square feet of space at the corner of Third and Kirby, across from St. James School at the east end of Third Street.
