Lake Tahoe's SugarPine Bakery Now In Two Locations, Expanding Wholesale

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Katie Schultz and Matt Hogan, co-owners of Sugar Pine Bakery, located at 3564G Lake Tahoe Blvd., are pleased to announce the opening of a second SugarPine Bakery location, at the “Y,” 1115 Emerald Bay Road.

Both locations feature a variety of breads, rolls, from-scratch croissants, breakfast pastries, desserts, treats and wedding cakes.

“We love our tourists, but we're really about serving the Tahoe community as a whole,” Hogan said. “And, we want to be as convenient for local residents as possible. The additional location, at the ‘Y' does that.”

The couple began the bakery as an offshoot of Schultz's part-time wedding cake business, which she started in 2008, under the name Katie Cakes.
