Wakefern Breaks Ground On Distribution Center In Newark

Wakefern Food Corporation has broken ground on its new, 180,000 square foot distribution Center in Newark New Jersey.
The temperature-controlled warehousing and distribution facility is being developed by Forem Facility Management. The facility will serve ShopRite stores within the northeast corridor including New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The facility is located at 52-62 Cornella Street in the City's East Ward, at the former location of the Newark Farmers' Market and within the City's Urban Enterprise Zone. It is expected to be completed within 12 months.
