Pelion, S.C. – WP Rawl, the premier grower, processor and shipper of leafy greens, will partner with Wreaths Across America in remembrance of fallen U.S. Veterans. WP Rawl continues supporting this organization by donating its services to the Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, S.C. Sponsored wreaths are laid on the graves of fallen veterans during the annual wreath-laying ceremonies.
“We are always glad to give back to our community in any way that we can,” said Ashley Rawl, vice president of sales, marketing and product development. “Being part of Wreaths Across America is near and dear to our hearts as many of our Rawl family members and family of employees are veterans. We are honored to be able to support a great cause and give back to those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can have the freedoms we enjoy today.”
This year, along with sponsoring wreaths to be laid on graves, WP Rawl wrapped one of the company’s dedicated 53-foot reefer trailers with the Wreaths Across America logo and a beautiful graphic of a national cemetery. The trailer made the journey to Maine to pick up a load of wreaths and delivered them to the Florence National Cemetery in South Carolina. In addition, a group of Rawl employees joined the many volunteers from across the country who participated annually in the laying of wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day (December 17th).
