INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis-based Marsh Supermarkets is looking to showcase more Hoosier products through a new partnership with Indiana Pork. The grocery chain is offering Indiana Pork's pork burgers, which were previously only available at the Indiana State Fair, in all of its stores throughout the state.
The partnership was formed with the help of the Indiana Grown Initiative. The Indiana State Department of Agriculture, which developed the initiative, says the partnership aims to "bring awareness and support" to Indiana Pork, which includes more than 3,000 Hoosier hog farmers.
"We are thrilled to see this partnership come to fruition thanks to Indiana Grown," said Jason Slaton, president of the Indiana Pork board of directors. "We are grateful that Marsh is so willing to support Indiana hog farmers and believe this partnership sets an excellent example of the success the Indiana Grown initiative can generate."
