Walmart To Offer Triangle Residents Online Grocery Pickup Service – For Free

Walmart has announced plans to begin offering in mid-May its first online grocery pickup services in the Triangle at five of its stores in Wake and Johnston counties.

Other grocery chains, including Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods, have already been offering online ordering with front-door pickup services for several years now, but each of those also charge a fee of around $4.95 per order.

Walmart (NYSE: WMT), though, will be offering its pickup service for free.

Starting on May 17, it will begin offering the service at these Walmart Supercenter locations:
