Interrupcion TASTE ME, DO GOOD* announces a major logistical expansion aimed at making the fair trade company even more effective in marketing its fair trade and organic products. In August 2015, the company opened a warehouse in New Castle, DE, just 40 minutes outside of Philadelphia. This now fully functioning facility allows customers to be serviced more quickly and efficiently than ever before and elevates the company's position in the marketplace.
The new Delaware facility is in capable hands as Interrupcion welcomes Frank De Vries as Vice President of Operations for the warehouse. With 20 years of experience in the produce industry, De Vries brings expertise in operations and logistics to the Interrupcion team. Formerly Director of Logistics at Philabundance (a non-profit food bank serving the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley, PA region), he is no stranger to the special challenges and opportunities presented to mission-driven food companies. He also previously worked for The Greenery in its European and U.S. operations.
Additionally, Interrupcion TASTE ME, DO GOOD* recently restructured its sales staff, moving to a regional model and organizing senior level personnel into regional teams. The change allows sales personnel to better manage regional inventory, take advantage of logistical opportunities and position the company and customers for future growth. With this change, Michela Calabrese is now Vice President of Business Development East Coast and Brandon Rankin is Vice President of Business Development West Coast.
