A major Arizona grocer is transitioning its store brand eggs to cage-free.
Chandler-based Bashas' Supermarkets announced today that its private label, Bashas' brand eggs, will be cage-free eggs by 2017.
Bashas' is claiming to be the first mainstream supermarket in Arizona to make this transition.
The transition will be courtesy of Hickman's Family Farms, who recently expanded its cage-free operations in Buckeye.
