Washington, D.C. – The 2015 edition of the North American Meat Institute’s (NAMI) Meat & Poultry Facts, the industry's leading statistical book, is now available.
The 44th edition of this popular livestock, meat and poultry industry resource contains the latest statistics on production, consumption, prices, imports, exports, employment, wages and much more. The book is a joint publication of NAMI and Sterling Marketing, Inc.
“Meat & Poultry Facts is the leading, most comprehensive resource for meat and livestock industry information,” said NAMI President and CEO Barry Carpenter. “The detailed data provides valuable insight to industry professionals and individuals who seek to better understand the internal dynamics and key trends of the industry.”
Sterling Marketing President John Nalivka noted in his introduction that the meat and livestock industry faced several challenges in 2015. Nalivka discussed the repercussions caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus and avian influenza, along with export challenges that were exacerbated by a strong U.S. dollar and weaker Asian economies.
Despite those obstacles, the beef and pork industries strengthened their herd building capabilities, while packer and producer margins remained positive. The complete 2015 edition of Meat & Poultry Facts can be purchased from NAMI’s online store.
The print edition is $35 for NAMI members and $70 for non-members. The book is also available in a digital format and costs $20 for NAMI members and $40 for non-members. Copies are available to media upon request.
