Montana Meat Co., a grass-fed meat distributor, has been awarded a grant worth up to $75,000, joining a growing list of local companies receiving help from the state to expand their businesses.
The company will use the money to hire as many as 10 full-time employees over the next year, according to contract documents.
“It was perfect. It was a good fit,” MMC owner Garl Germann said of the grant. “Good staffing is what we’ve been lacking up until now and we’ve recognized that it’s not going to happen without a good team.”
