Shoppers will soon find four Woods Supermarkets to serve them on their next trip to the Lake of the Ozarks area. Woods announced Friday, Oct. 2, it has reached an agreement to acquire three Paul’s Supermarkets in Eldon, Osage Beach and Lake Ozark. The conversion to Woods Supermarkets will take place by the end of October. Woods also has a store in Sunrise Beach.
“We are excited to welcome all Paul’s customers and other east lake area residents to our three new Woods locations and introduce them to our ‘Solid Woods’ quality, service and value,” said Craig Easter, chief executive officer of Woods Supermarket. “The addition of these three stores will expand Woods’ customer base and the areas we serve, as well as make us a stronger company of family-owned supermarkets. This expansion will also mean increased new job opportunities and open career advancement and new leadership positions for our associates company wide in the Woods organization.”
Once this transaction is complete, the Woods family will own and operate a total of 12 supermarkets. In addition to the four lake area locations they have seven other Missouri stores in Bolivar, Buffalo, El Dorado Springs, Stockton, Nevada, Sedalia and Warrensburg, as well as one store in Fort Scott, Kan.
