Chef Billy Rawstrom calls himself “The Sausage King of Delaware.”
If you Google that phrase, you’ll get his restaurant Maiale Deli and Salumeria on Lancaster Pike, just west of Wilmington’s city limits.
Even with prices for his hand-crafted goods considerably more than mass-produced fare, Rawstrom said the 6-year-old eatery has become a destination with a strong following.
But Rawstrom knows he can’t rest if he’s going to retain his crown.
