SEATTLE — Icicle Seafoods, Inc. ("Icicle" or "the Company"), one of the largest and most diversified seafood companies in North America, today announced the appointment of Amy Humphreys to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Chris Ruettgers has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Icicle and LaDon Johnson has been appointed President, effective May 1, 2015.
"Amy has built an industry leading management team at Icicle and we are delighted that she will join the Board of Directors as its Chairman," said Dexter Paine, Chairman and CEO of Paine & Partners. "With her knowledge of Icicle's day-to-day operations, Amy will bring significant experience to the Board, help lead Icicle's strategic direction and governance, and facilitate the transition to Chris and LaDon in their new roles."
Ms. Humphreys said, "Icicle has a rich history as a leader in the seafood industry and I look forward to overseeing our continued growth as Chairman. Icicle has a strong management team that has demonstrated the ability to operate and grow the platform, and I am confident that Chris will continue to build on our success."
Mr. Paine continued, "We are pleased with the appointment of Chris Ruettgers to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Icicle. Chris has served as Icicle's Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development since joining the Company in 2011 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2007. He has an intimate understanding of each of Icicle's business units and its key functional areas. He has been instrumental in the growth and development of Icicle's operating platform and the strategic transactions he has led have grown and diversified Icicle's operations."

LaDon Johnson, who currently serves as Icicle's Chief Financial Officer, will retain his responsibilities as CFO and will oversee the Company's accounting and finance, legal and human resource activities. Prior to joining Icicle, Mr. Johnson was the CFO of Cibus Global, a global plant biotechnology company, and also served as President of Cibus's international operations.
Mr. Ruettgers said, "LaDon is an experienced executive and brings significant administrative and financial expertise to the role. We are confident that he is well-suited to take on the role and the additional responsibilities of President."
