The American Bakers Association (ABA) has opened applications for the 2027 Champions for a Better Tomorrow Awards, a program recognizing baking industry companies making a lasting difference in their communities, workplaces, and the planet.
The awards celebrate the innovation, leadership, and commitment of ABA member companies driving meaningful change across the commercial baking sector. The initiative aligns with ABA’s Strategic Plan and recognizes companies whose actions exemplify the industry’s dedication to progress, purpose, and people.
In 2026, 48 nominees were recognized, and six companies received awards across three categories: Community, Workplace, and Planet.
“Our members are creating opportunities for people to grow, contribute, and take pride in their work,” said Chris Greiner, vice president of membership and growth at ABA. “These awards give us a chance to recognize that commitment and show why commercial baking is a destination workplace.”
Applications are eligible for early-bird consideration through January 15, 2027, with a final submission deadline of February 12, 2027. Winners will be announced at the 2027 ABA Annual Convention on May 3, 2027.
