Marieke Penterman shows off the new Marieke Gouda product packages, unveiling the company’s fun and colorful new look.

THORP, Wis. — Marieke Gouda, a Wisconsin-based cheesemaker known for authentic, Dutch-style Gouda, has unveiled a visual refresh featuring a new logo, updated packaging across its suite of cheeses, and a bold new attitude. The fresh new look features rich colors, a fun & bold typeface, and a modern look designed to stand out on the artisan cheese shelf.

Founded in 2006 by Dutch immigrant and Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker Marieke Penterman, the company is one of the most decorated licensed master cheesemakers in the United States, having won over 330 awards. Marieke Gouda credits its success to building an unstoppable team and staying true to its roots as a small, woman-owned creamery using milk directly from its own farmstead.

“When I moved to the United States, I missed the Gouda I knew and loved from home. So, I decided to make it myself. What started with me looking for a taste of home has grown into Marieke Gouda,” said Marieke Penterman, founder and CEO of Marieke Gouda. “We’re excited to roll out this new look that reflects our cheese and our company: bold, beautiful, and full of flavor. We aren’t changing who we are. We’ve just created a look that feels more like us.”

The new packaging puts Gouda and the flavor front and center, making the label easier to read and helping it stand out on the shelf. The colors and botanical accents also create a fresh look that grabs shoppers’ attention and elevates Gouda in the specialty cheese category.
