Woodlake, California’s Monrovia Nursery has been growing plants for 100 years.
Monrovia Nursery is the legacy of Harry Rosedale Sr., a young immigrant from Denmark. In 1926, he had a vision: To make plants stronger and more beautiful for the home gardener.
Harry’s modest 10-acre plot has grown into an innovative nursery that has locations around the country. His legacy includes breakthroughs in growing plants in containers (previously nursery plants were grown in the ground and uprooted), custom soil mixes, horticultural breeding, water conservation, robust plant health, and so much more.
