Symphony Pastries Buys Classic Cake’s Pastry Unit

Symphony Pastries, a family-owned maker of European-inspired and traditional American desserts, has purchased the pastry division of Cherry Hill, NJ-based Classic Cake.
The strategic expansion brings together two established Greater Philadelphia-area bakery operations and strengthens Symphony’s growing presence across foodservice, hospitality and retail markets. Financial terms were not revealed, according to a report by ROI-NJ.
Moorestown, NJ’s Symphony is led by brothers Brett, Barry, and David Kratchman and combines decades of experience in dessert manufacturing, foodservice, hospitality, and specialty distribution. The brothers, natives of Philadelphia, acquired the company in 2024 and have continued to invest in the company’s people, products and production capabilities.
