After ten years with Insula AS as the majority shareholder, Norway’s First Seafood is entering a new ownership phase. Founder Andreas Sundnes, the company’s executive management team, and a group of industrial investors have acquired ownership of First Seafood.

“Together, we have built an international seafood company with skilled employees, modern production facilities, strong customer relationships, and a broad market position,” company officials said in a news release. “We are now taking over the baton with great respect for what has been built over the past ten years and with great gratitude for the opportunity to lead First Seafood into the future. Together with our employees, customers, suppliers, and new co-owners, we will continue building on the strong foundation that has been established.”

In 2016, Insula purchased a majority stake in First Seafood after First Seafood’s establishment in 2014.
