Davie, FL – Red Smith Foods, Florida’s leading manufacturer of pickled snack foods, will debut its new product, a single-serve pickled sausage, at The Mango Festival in Deerfield Beach June 19-20. Free samples of the shrink-wrapped snack will be distributed as people enter the festival at Deerfield Town Hall on Martin Luther King Avenue. As a sponsor of Mango Festival, Red Smith Foods will host a booth with individual and gallon jars of pickled sausages, games and giveaways.

“In today’s hurried lifestyle, people want conveniently packaged snacks,” said Jonathan Foster, Red Smith Foods vice president. “Pickled sausages are a regional delicacy enjoyed throughout the South. The single-serve sausages are made from the same recipe as our best-selling Big John’s sausages sold in gallon jars throughout Florida.”

The Mango Festival, one of South Florida’s largest outdoor events, is a weekend of food, fun and music featuring R&B, gospel and Caribbean artists. Proceeds from the weekend are used for the community and scholarship opportunities for underprivileged youth.

Red Smith Foods, a second-generation, family-owned and operated business, has been based in South Florida since 1973. The company’s products include pickled sausages, pickled eggs, pickled pigs feet, pickled port hocks and pickled pigs lips. All products are completely shelf-stable, never require refrigeration and exceed USDA regulations for food safety.
