Publix Issues Allergy Alert For Various Ready-To-Eat Deli Products

LAKELAND, Fla. – Out of an abundance of caution, Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for certain deli ready-to-eat products because a seasoning mix used may contain peanuts that are not declared on the packaging. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the products, which include:

Publix was made aware of this potential allergen contamination by our spice supplier. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

These ready-to-eat products are available for sale at select Publix stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Recalled products include all sell-by dates through 01/15/2015.
