CEO Marty Thompson emphasized their dedication to evolving with consumer needs, maintaining strict ingredient standards, and continually refining recipes while offering choices that support informed decisions about nutrition.
Over 90% of Nestlé USA’s current portfolio does not include synthetic colors
Nestlé USA is sharing its timeline to fully eliminate FD&C colors in its U.S. food and beverage portfolio by mid-2026. Over the last decade, the company has been actively removing synthetic colors from its products and working to identify alternative solutions in recipes where they are still used. The work is scheduled to be completed within the next 12 months.
This effort is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to provide consumers with a range of high-quality, nutritious foods and beverages that reflect the diversity and choices that they want.
“Consumers enjoy a wide variety of foods and beverages as part of their daily diet. They want choice and value shaped by a dynamic – and highly personal – combination of nutrition, quality, price and convenience,” said Marty Thompson, CEO of Nestlé USA. “Whether it’s an easy and nutritious family meal, an occasional snack, or a satisfying cup of coffee, we are always looking for different ways to offer great tasting, compelling choices for our consumers. As their diverse dietary preferences and nutritional needs evolve, we evolve with them.”

We have refined our recipes over the years, expanding choices, incorporating nutrient-rich ingredients, adding more low and no sugar choices, and removing unfamiliar ingredients. We also share information to help consumers make informed decisions when choosing what to eat or drink.
Mr. Thompson added, “Serving and delighting people is at the heart of everything we do and every decision that we make. We have been doing so for over 100 years, and that longevity is built on an unwavering commitment to understanding our consumers, adapting to their evolving expectations, and meeting their immediate needs, but with a future-focused approach. Nestlé USA remains committed to providing consumers with affordable, high-quality food and beverages.”
