Dawn Foods Scholarship Supports K-State Bakery Science Students, Expands Industry Partnership

Kansas State University now offers the Dawn Foods Bakery Science Scholarship, thanks to a new gift from Dawn Foods. Starting in the 2025–2026 academic year, this scholarship will provide $5,000 annually to two undergraduate juniors or seniors. This initiative enhances the existing partnership between K-State and Dawn Foods, which also includes valuable hands-on learning experiences through internships at the company’s headquarters in Jackson, Michigan, and other U.S. locations.
Kansas State University bakery science students can now apply for scholarship support through a new gift from Dawn Foods, a global bakery manufacturer and ingredient supplier. Starting in the 2025–2026 academic year, the Dawn Foods Bakery Science Scholarship will award $5,000 annually to two undergraduate juniors or seniors.
This new scholarship builds on a long-standing partnership between Dawn Foods and K-State, home to the nation’s only four-year degree in bakery science and management. In addition to scholarship support, the collaboration includes hands-on learning opportunities such as internships at Dawn Foods’ headquarters in Jackson, Michigan, and other U.S. locations.
