At our breeding and testing facilities in The Netherlands, the Vaselife Room is an important tool of learning more about the behaviour of our varieties.
First of all, the transport is essential: what happens between Kenya and Holland? Once arrived at our headquarters, the varieties go straight into the vaselife room. Then a detailed testing period starts. How does the variety present itself? Does it meet the demand of a minimum vaselife of 10 days? Does the flower open according expectation and not too early or too late?
A lot to be done before we can say: yes, this variety is truly Interplant worthy!
