LOS ALAMITOS, CA – Frieda’s team members took on the 5K run at the Los Alamitos Race on the Base on February 22.
Wearing their signature purple shirts with the slogan, “Eat one fruit a day that scares you,” the team consisted of Frieda’s team members from different departments with different levels of fitness. For many, this 5K race was their first race ever.
“I’m very proud of our team!” said Karen Caplan, President and CEO of Frieda’s Inc. “In addition to our commitment to change the way America eats fruits and vegetables as a way to support Americans increasing their consumption of fresh produce, we also have a strong commitment to our community and the wellness of our employees.”
Team Frieda’s is looking forward to participating in many more local race events in the future.
The 33rd Annual Southland Credit Union Los Alamitos Race on the Base event benefited the USA Water Polo National Training Center at the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base and the Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR) for Military program at the JFTB.
