We, Rogers Collection, are honored to be the importer of Arturo Sanchez Iberico Bellota for the U.S. market. This September marks Arturo Sanchez's 100th year anniversary celebration in Guijuelo, Spain.

Arturo Sanchez is the ONLY producer whose 100% pure breed Iberico (black label) pigs graze on holm oak and cork oak acorns in the arid dehesa for two whole seasons -double montanera. (The standard practice for Iberico farmers is to grant their pigs destined for the "Bellota" status only one year of la montanera.)

The result is unparalleled flavor. This product is Arturo Sanchez's soul, the visible face of their house since 1917, and exemplary of their values: excellent, craft, honesty, and tradition.

The hams are naturally cured in the town of Guijuelo, Salamanca for a minimum of 48 months.  The local climate aided by the cool dry wind that comes off the Bejar and Gredos mountains, allows them to use less salt in the curing process. They patiently open and close the windows of their curing room each day to manually adjust the amount of air and moisture, which is key in allowing the ham to attain its organoleptic characteristics. The meat has tasting notes of fresh nuts, followed by light and clear sweet notes with balanced salt throughout.  Not only is the flavor unparalleled, but the antioxidant capacity is almost double that of single-season acorn fed pigs.  The hams have an extremely high level of flavorful "healthy fats" – surpassed only by extra virgin olive oil.

Rogers Collection has done the hard work—or we should say, it's been our pleasure—to hand select and identify artisan products from around the world since 1990. Slowly and carefully, Rogers Collection has found the exceptional producers that we partner with today.
