Shatto Milk Co. Offers Limited-Edition Bottles For The Solar Eclipse

Aug. 14, 2017, Osborn, Mo. – To celebrate the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse, Shatto Milk Company released a limited-edition ECLIPSE bottle with white lettering, filled with flavored Black Milk – Cookies ‘n Cookies ‘n Cream. Offered in a limited quantity of 6,500, these bottles will be available in all stores that sell Shatto Milkand via Shatto Home Delivery beginning on Thurs., Aug. 17 and Fri., Aug. 18.
Shatto is the first company in America to offer Black Milk. In addition to its availability in stores, a few thousand people who plan to attend a sold-out event at the farm to see the eclipse will have the chance to go home with a bottle of the unique milk. Eclipse bottle t-shirts are available, as well.
“We are excited to be able to do something fun for this incredible solar eclipse that just happens to go directly over our farm,” says Barbara Shatto, owner and president of Shatto Milk Company. “The on-farm event sold out very fast, and we wanted to offer something for those who won’t be in attendance to commemorate this incredible eclipse, so we created some fun t-shirts and, of course, the limited-edition bottles and Black Milk.”

“We love the opportunity to celebrate with all of our friends here in the Kansas City and St. Joseph areas in a very unique way,” says Barbara. “We hope everyone finds the opportunity to toast the eclipse with some Black Milk.”
On the day of the eclipse, the Shatto farm near Osborn, Mo., will be in the path of totality for 2 minutes and 30 seconds at 1:07 p.m. Attendees at the sold-out event will be given viewing glasses to safely see the eclipse.
