Flowers Help Elderly Loneliness

Naarden – Loneliness among the elderly is still a problem which plays in the Netherlands. Chrysal International organizes in collaboration with the National Elderly Fund on Tuesday, April 4th a flower arranging workshop at Chrysal. For the 30 participants promises to be an unforgettable afternoon with one another and they can enjoy course after their flower arrangements.

As many as 1 million elderly people in the Netherlands indicates feel lonely regularly. The loneliness can accumulate by the death of a spouse, loss of mobility and independence. Together with the National Elderly Fund puts Chrysal committed to combat this loneliness. On Tuesday, April 4th is a flower arranging workshop at the headquarters of Chrysal 30 people from the region Gooi and Vecht. People surround themselves with flowers are happier, less stressed and more relaxed. Furthermore invites an environment with flowers from a good conversation *. It promises to be an unforgettable afternoon for the elderly. In addition to flower arranging it has come in contact with each other is an important aspect for the elderly. This avoids the loneliness that many older people have to deal with.
