Thibodaux-Based Rouses Grocery Chain Names New Leaders

The Thibodaux-based Rouses supermarket chain has announced new leadership.

Steve Black, president of Lucky's Market, a grocery chain that focuses on organic products, is Rouses' new president and chief operating officer.

The announcement, posted on the company's Facebook page Monday night, was made by Donny Rouse, a former managing partner who was also recently named CEO of the 56-year-old family-owned company.

"Steve brings another level of expertise to our business," Rouse said in a news release that was quoted by several grocery-industry online trade journals. "He has an enormous passion for the business, and key management experience at all levels from operations to marketing and IT."
