Grocers Are Staking Out Key Corners In Frisco, TX

Several grocers are already in Frisco, but at least three more have reserved corners. Whether they all get built is another matter, but commercial and residential growth in Frisco is attracting food retailers.
At the same time, bordering suburb Prosper is getting its first supermarket later this month, a Kroger Marketplace.
1. Sprouts Farmers Market is the latest to confirm that it’s planning to build a store in Frisco.
GBT Realty Corp. of Brentwood, Tenn., has bought 2.3 acres of the 12-acre retail site at Eldorado and Teel parkways from CMTEX for $1.1 million. Sprouts will be part of a 63,900-square-foot shopping center that CMTEX plans to open early next year. At this rate, Sprouts is likely to beat two others to market:
