The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports salmonella has been found at a Bonne Terre egg facility.

According to DHSS, a testing was recently conducted at the Good Earth Egg Company processing facility in Bonne Terre and samples received indicated the presence of salmonella bacteria.

The facility was ordered to stay closed until it can be cleaned and re-sampled.

Good Earth Egg Company is a third-generation egg farm owned by the David family of Bonne Terre. On Saturday the owners released the following statement:
