Grapes From California Are Superfood Of The Month In Morrison Healthcare Promotion

FRESNO, California – Fresh Grapes from California are the featured superfood in Morrison Healthcare’s Grab-a-Grape promotion that is running in the company’s 400-plus healthcare accounts nationwide throughout the month of October. Morrison focuses on providing healthy, great tasting food while creating personalized dining experiences for patients, families, caregivers and guests.

“Heart-healthy grapes are the perfect superfood to feature this month,” said Lisa Roberson, Morrison Healthcare’s Senior Director of Corporate Wellness. “Grapes of all colors are a natural source of beneficial antioxidants and other polyphenols that support heart health. We want to showcase grapes in our cafés as a smart choice for an easy, healthy snack or side, as well as a versatile and tasty ingredient.”

The Morrison Grab-A-Grape promotion has several integrated elements:

* Morrison café guests will learn about the health benefits of grapes, their versatility as a fresh ingredient, and fun facts about Grapes from California through use of digital menu boards at the point of service.

* California grapes will be the featured fresh fruit in the Morrison cafés and will be included in three key recipes including 1) Red Grape and BBQ Chicken Hand-Stretched Pizza; 2) Turkey Sausage, Feta, Grape and Swiss Chard Whole Wheat Flatbread; and 3) an Apple, Grape, Fennel and Cheddar Spinach Salad. Grapes will be highlighted on the super fruit Table; grape cups, bento snack boxes with grapes, and a chicken salad with grapes will be offered.

* A Grab-A-Grape photo contest will encourage patrons to take photos of grapes and grape recipes and post pictures to social media for a chance to win weekly prizes and be entered into a drawing for two grand prizes.
