BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission says state inshore waters will open for shrimping at 6 a.m. May 18.

The May 18 opening covers inside waters and state outside waters out to 3 nautical miles from shore between the Atchafalaya River Ship Channel at Eugene Island and the western shore of Freshwater Bayou Canal.
