The Produce Mom Launches Redesigned Website
May 8, 2015 | 3 min to read
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — The Produce Mom® has launched a redesigned website. The URL, www.theproducemom.com, is the same.
The new site offers the same great content— recipes, insights into the produce industry, fresh produce tutorials, and farm tours–but with a cleaner look and new features that make it easier to navigate.
Two of the biggest improvements include a new recipe search and the addition of recipe cards. The recipe search allows visitors to find recipes by ingredients, course, or cuisine. The recipe cards allow visitors to rate, review, and print recipes with one simple click.
The new website makes it easier for first-time visitors to learn about The Produce Mom’s mission to help consumers select, store, and serve produce items. The Produce Mom encourages more consumption of fruits and vegetables through various programs which are highlighted on the site and include:
Produce Mom Picks® – A grocery store program that helps consumers understand seasonality while shopping in the produce department.
Find Your Favorite® – A community outreach initiative designed to educate elementary students on the nutritional benefits of eating fresh fruits and vegetables by combining the influence of Heroes with simple, fun learning opportunities about fresh produce.
The Produce Challenge – A monthly calendar which highlights seasonal produce items and challenges consumers to “try them all & find your favorite.” The calendar is fully-interactive and includes recipes, helpful tips, fun facts, and information on growers.
