NCA has enhanced the educational lineup in both the keynote sessions and Sweet Insights Theater at the 2015 Sweets & Snacks Expo, held May 19-21.

Most notably on Wednesday, May 20, leading retailers provide industry perspective on the current economic climate; snacking & lifestyle mega trends; and the nation’s changing demographics in three short, high-impact briefings during the all-new Retailer Impact Forum.

The forum will be hosted by Michael Sansolo of MorningNewsBeat.com. Joining Michael Sansolo will be Darren Seifer of the NPD Group discussing consumer snacking behaviors in a balanced diet and Tina Manikas, President of FCB/RED, sharing tips on how retailers can manage split efficiencies between millennials and boomers. A panel of retail executives from leading companies will provide real-time feedback and commentary.

"The new, unique format is a hybrid of TED-style talks and SportsCenter models incorporating 20 minute micro-sessions that promote lively discussion on the subject's 'real word' impact for consumers, shoppers, retailers and the manufacturer community," commented Tim Quinn, Expo Committee Chairman and VP of Trade Relations for Mars Chocolate North America.

Retail panelists include:

Meijer
Peter Whitsett
Executive Vice President, Merchandising & Marketing

Schnuck Markets, Inc.
Joanie Taylor
Director, Consumer Affairs & Community Relations

GetGo (Giant Eagle)
Steve Boomershine
Vice President of Merchandising

On the show floor, the Sweet Insights Theater promises to be another center of knowledge for Expo attendees featuring topics ranging from the latest trends in online grocery shopping to consumer behavior surrounding sweets and snacks purchases.

The keynote sessions, held in a new location central to shuttle bus drop-offs (Room 183, Level 1) in McCormick Place West, conclude Thursday May 21st with a bang!  Fox News' Bill O’Reilly will provide expert perspective on current events and issues in our world and their impact. All keynote and Sweet Insights Theater sessions are included in the cost of Expo registration.
