Baking Industry Mourns Passing Of Former RBA President Bucur 'Bill' Mihu Jr.

Bucur "Bill" Mihu Jr., 60, of Chesterfield, Mo., formerly of Granite City, Ill., born Dec. 27, 1954, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.
Bill gave 42 years of service at Schnucks Supermarkets attaining the position of vice president of bakery operations. He was president of the Retail Bakers Association from 2005 to 2007. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed "weekend Odyssey's" with Liz. Bill was a "Foodie" who liked to try new restaurants and was known for being the superman of the family. He will be remembered for his kind heart and all the special times he shared with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bucur "Bill" and Joyce, nee Alford, Mihu Sr.; and a sister, Caroline Thornhiill.
He is survived by and will be missed by the love of his life; Liz, nee Curry, Mull of Chesterfield, Mo.; daughter, Haley Mull of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Timothy and (Jamie) Mihu of Glen Carbon, Ill.; sister, Barbara Adams and (Abraham Perlmuter) of Los Angeles, Calif.; niece, Joyce and (Shannon) Adams; nephews, Michael Adams and fiance (Adrienne Barash), and Ryan Mihu; great-nephews, Beckett Adams, and Kaplan Adams; and many cousins and extended family members and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure
or the Humane Society.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: In celebration of his life services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2015, at Nameoki United Methodist Church, 1900 Pontoon Road in Granite City, with Pastor Mike Rayson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.
