Doral — Vega Produce LLC is proud to announce their acceptance, and certification as a part of the Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council (SFMSDC) with the addition of being recognized as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). We at Vega Produce support job growth and economic expansion through the MBDA business centers, collaboration with federal, state and local government agencies, and strategic partnerships.
What does this mean? Status as a minority business is an important signal to other businesses that need help reaching certain markets. For example, a minority-owned business may help a food maker create products that appeal to the taste of a particular ethnic group. Minority-owned businesses can help supply big chain retailers with products for their specific markets. In essence, the advantage of being known as a minority business sets up your enterprise for lucrative business-to-business opportunities. Moreover, on their own, minority businesses that export goods to other countries are a significant driver of the U.S. economy, having done more than $1 trillion in revenue in 2007, according to the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA).
