West Texas Albertsons To Align With United Supermarkets

LUBBOCK – Eight West Texas Albertsons stores will be realigned under The United Family™ to take advantage of operational and distribution opportunities, it was announced The stores are located in Midland (3), Odessa (3), San Angelo and Abilene.

The new alignment begins to take effect May 30 with the transition of the Abilene location and continuing with the San Angelo store and the Midland-Odessa stores through June 13.

“This move makes great business sense,” said Robert Taylor, president of The United Family™.

“With our Lubbock-based distribution center within 125-200 miles of these cities, we can serve these eight stores more efficiently and most effectively, which translates into greater quality on the shelves for our guests.”
